FUZEBOX SELECTED AS THE ONLY NEW ADDITION TO THE GARTNER 2012 WEB CONFERENCING MAGIC QUADRANT!

the Gartner 2012 Web Conferencing Magic Quadrant

The Gartner Magic Quadrant is a globally renowned and exclusive research tool that was developed by Gartner, an information technology research and advisory company that provides technology-related insight. Research provided by Gartner is targeted at CIOs and Senior IT leaders in industries that include government agencies, high-tech and telecom enterprises, professional services firms, and technology investors. Gartner clients include large corporations, government agencies, technology companies, and the investment community.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant aims to provide a qualitative analysis into specific markets. Garner’s research, direction, participants, and maturity enable companies to be a stronger competitor for that specific market. Their analyses are conducted for several specific technical industries and updated every 1–2 years.

This year, FuzeBox, Inc. is honored to be featured in the Gartner 2012 Web Conferencing Magic Quadrant, the only new entrant in 2012. FuzeBox is cited as having a strong mobile and Unified Communications (UC) integration track record. FuzeBox joins other distinguished global leaders and brands such as AT&T, Cisco, IBM, Adobe, and Microsoft. FuzeBox is considered the emerging player in the global web conferencing market.

The Gartner 2012 Magic Quadrant lists several strengths of FuzeBox, including the company’s innovative and unique support for mobile devices, and the ability to integrate popular UC infrastructure into its web and video conferencing offerings. The gateway support for third party telepresence systems pioneered by FuzeBox was also listed as one of its standout qualities.

The inclusion of FuzeBox in the Gartner Web Conferencing Magic Quadrant caps off an exciting flagship year for the company. 2012 saw the rollout of FuzeBox’s visual collaboration service across the entire Apple ecosystem as part of Apple’s “Better Together” partnership program, which highlights apps that offer amazing connectivity between Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices. The company was the first in its industry to create a native online meeting application built specifically for Mac computers, allowing anyone to easily and seamlessly run online meetings without having to deal with clunky browser plugins.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Gartner and to be included in such a highly respected report on the industry,” says Jeff Cavins, CEO of FuzeBox. “We’ve accomplished a great deal in 2012. We’ve experienced tremendous growth, released cutting edge iPhone and iPad apps, secured a $20M Series A financing round led by Index Ventures, and launched the worlds first-ever native, real-time visual collaboration and conferencing app designed specifically for the Mac. We see the future of web collaboration advancing across four major pillars: mobility, integrate-ability, interoperability, and scalability – and this is where we have focused our attention.”

FuzeBox products are already in use by many Fortune 500 companies such as Kellogg’s and GM, as well hot startups like Evernote and Spotify. The list continues to grow, expand, and diversify by the day.

Thank you, Gartner. We are honored to own a spot on the Magic Quadrant.

Which quadrant did FuzeBox get added to on the 2012 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Conferencing? Traditionally, it’s been Leaders, Visionaires, Challengers, and Niche Players. Has that changed?
